C.E. Clay Donelson, resident of Ponca City, passed Tuesday, July 21, 2009. He was 49. Clay was born February 9, 1960 in Ponca City, the son of R.L. Donelson and Fannie Beartrack Donelson. He attended the Burbank Elementary School, the Fairfax Middle School and Ponca City High School. He had served on the Grayhorse Dance Committee. Clay was very active in various church volunteer activities that included driving the church bus, helping set up for meetings, mission activities and in general giving his helping hand to others. His enjoyments were hunting, fishing and trapping. Clay was a master Indian drum maker, accomplished bead worker and moccasin maker. He is survived by his mother, Fannie, of the home; three sons, Cameron Colt Donelson, Dewey Beartrack Donelson and Robert Ranger Donelson; one sister, Martha Donelson; other extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services were held Monday, July 27, 2009 at the First Assembly of God Church in Ponca City with burial in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery of Ponca City. Arrangements were under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel Casket bearers were Ronald Burgess, Bob Clover, Mark J. Freeman, Brad Irons, Jay Martin, Vence Meneely, Trip Mullins, John Payne, Kennith Stuart and Sammy Wooten.
