Claude Woodrow Woody Lewis, resident of Ponca City, passed away Monday, July 04, 2011 at the Ponca City Medical Center. He was 51 years of age.
Woody was born June 5, 1960 at West Liberty, Kentucky, the son of James H. Lewis and Ruby Lyons Lewis. He was a graduate of Xenia, Ohio High School. He served his country from 197779 with the United States Army, serving a tour of duty in Germany where he was a halftrack vehicle operator.
His enjoyments were his grandson, Kaiden, playing the guitar, working on his truck and caring for his beloved Vickie. Woody was known by many as Mr. Fixit.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Kellogh of Springfield, Ohio his longtime companion, Vickie Dye three daughters, Cayce Lewis of Ponca City Candace Gully of Xenia, Ohio and Danielle Garber of Norfolk, Virginia two brothers, Michael Hughes, Springfield, Ohio and James Glenn Lewis of Tulsa, Oklahoma three grandsons, Preston Lewis, Emmet Gully and Kaiden James Lewis one granddaughter, Kala Garber. He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Grace Memorial Chapel.
