Carl Tankersley

Carl W. Tankersley, 82, of Ponca City, passed away at his residence on Monday, June 25, 2012.
Carl was born on November 20, 1929 in Lone Grove, OK to Oliver Winston Wink and Melvina Shrader Tankersley.
Part of his youth was spent in Oklahoma and California. After a short stint in the Army, he held various jobs throughout the years mainly as a laborer in construction. Carl loved working outdoors and seldom seemed bothered by the heat. In his senior years, he enjoyed planting and harvesting fresh vegetables in his garden.
Carl is survived by his three daughters Sandra Taylor of Ponca City, Jeannie Meeks of Ponca City and Brenda Johnson of Bend, OR. He is also survived by one sisterGeneva Smith of CA, 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Private Family Services will be held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
