Billy Don Head Sr., passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Tulsa. Billy was born July 27th, 1949 in Shidler, Oklahoma to Donaven 'Bud' & Freda (Miller) Head. He attended Grainola schools until the 8th grade then finished his schooling in Shidler, graduating in 1967. After graduation he attended Okmulgee Tech to study Diesel Mechanics. Bill worked for Hughes and Anderson just weeks shy of 30 years. After his retirement he moved back to the family farm in Grainola. He loved to entertain friends, watching old western movies, and learning to love international cruising. Hunting and fishing with his grandsons was always a joy and date nights with his granddaughter were a delight for him.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna Jo and Chance DuBose of Owasso, his son and daughter-in-law, B.D. and Lena Head of Bristow, and the joys of his life 6 grandchildren; Carson, Cade, Joel, Billy III, A.J., and Hunter. An uncle, Tom Head of Grainola, also one sister and brother-in-law Donna Faye and Dr. Larry Salyer of Hugo, 2 nephews Kurt Salyer and Ty Salyer of Hugo, and his faithful dog Pearl. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and his favorite loyal pet companion Joe.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Foraker Cemetery, Foraker, OK with Bill Long officiating.

Casket Bearers will be: Todd Roe. Cade DuBose. Ty Salyer. Kurt Salyer. Ron Miller. Jim Wilhelm

Honorary Bearers: Larry Salyer. James Wilhelm. Vern Roe. Mundy Roe
