Betty Lou Lydick passed on to her eternal home on March 4, 2022.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow services at Longwood Cemetery with arrangements under the care of Grace memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
She was born in Wellington, KS on September 17, 1938, where she and her brother Bob and sister Carolyn grew up. Both Siblings preceded her in death.
Betty Attended nursing school in Winfield, KS, achieving a degree as a registered nurse.
She loved her chosen career of Nursing, dedicating over 40 years to the care of others.
Betty married the love of her life, Ralph Lydick on September 6, 1958 in Mayfield, KS The couple resided at several locations, in Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma. As Ralph made his career in retail sales.
Three children blessed their home: Lori, Lynda and Larry. Not one of them was born in the same state.
Finally, settling in Ponca City, Betty worked at St. Joseph Medical Center until she retired in 2002.
After Ralph’s passing in 2001, she moved from her home to Willow Creek Apartments.
She stayed very busy with many friends, playing cards, mahjong and attending bible studies and family events.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Lori Boring, wife of Dr. Terry Boring; Lynda Lydick from Kentucky and Larry and Kelli Lydick of Shawnee, OK
