Betty Lou Ball Klinger, 84, of Ponca City, joined her Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at Ponca City Medical Center.
Betty was born on May 1, 1927 in Ponca City, OK to Maurice A. and Zenola Smith Ball.
Betty was a lifelong area resident, was of the Christian Faith and a Graduate of Ponca City High School.
Betty met the love of her life, Albert BUZZ Klinger after he was discharged from the Navy and were married on Jan. 10, 1947 in Winfield, Kansas. They made their home her in Ponca City. She was the neighborhood anchor and touched many lives. Betty was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She was well known for her beautiful wedding cakes and other bakery items that she made. Betty cared and helped raise many children who called her Grandma. She loved animals and was an avid reader and accomplished seamstress. After her father and mother divorced, her mother married Arlo J. Hammans. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Jim Ball and Robert Hammans.
Betty is survived by her children Cris L. and Gwen Klinger of Sand Springs, OK. and Marilyn Sue and David Buck of Ponca City, OK, Grandchildren Cristin Martin, David Klinger, Heather Parton, Natasha Ferguson and Lacy Scott, all of whom she loved dearly. 13 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Graveside Services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Longwood Cemetery, with Rev. Bob Weaver officiating.
Services are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
