Bernice Arrow Davis, former Ponca City area resident, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in Hobart, Oklahoma. She was 85 years of age.

Bernice was born August 14, 1926 at White Eagle, the daughter of Leona Roughface and the granddaughter of Leonard and Leota Biggoose. She attended the Pawnee Indian School and Haskell Indian School where she was active in basketball. She was married to John Herb Davis and they were former residents of Grand Tower, Illinois. She was a member of the Ponca Indian Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and American Legion Post 38 Auxiliary. Her enjoyments were cooking and embroidery.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Siemens of Goodyear, Arizona and daughterinlaw, Holly Tookolo three sisters, Diana Kauahquo of Hobart, Oklahoma, Eve Williams of Grand Prairie, Texas and Sarah Paul of Sand Springs two brothers, Alva Roughface of Hobart and Lance Carney of Anadarko 5 grandchildren, John, Lainie, Bill, Erica and Rachel 1 great grandchild, Courtney.

She was preceded in death by her parents husband one child, Allen Tookolo her sibings, Nellie Obregon, Bronson Roughface, Rev. Thomas Roughface and Mona Baken.

Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Ponca Indian Methodist Church. A noon meal will be served Friday, April 13th and funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. at the Ponca Indian Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Scott Kauahquo, Ernie Kauahquo, Nick Roughface, Sonny Biggoose, Damon Roughface and Bronson Roughface Jr. Honorary casket bearers will be Mike Williams, Tony Williams, Jim Roughface, Tom Roughface, Vohn Williams, K.O. Obregon, Rick Obregon and Greg Baken.
