Barbara Overman

Barbara Ann Overman died peacefully Monday, January 27, 2020. Barbara was 85 years old.

Barbara was born April 16, 1934 at Topeka KS, the daughter of Walter Floyd & Beatrice Reust Barraclough. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1952 & married her High School sweetheart Darrell D. Overman in Fayetteville, AR & they established their first home in Topeka.

Barbara began employment with Conoco in 1973 in Kansas City, MO as a clerk in the Retail Credit Center & retired in 1985. Barbara was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Ponca City. She enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting, softball & baseball.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey of Belton, MO her 2 daughters Janice of Madison, WI and Susan Morgan & her husband Danny Morgan of Sand Springs, OK; her brother Richard Barraclough of Independence, MO; six grandchildren: Nicole Wedman, Nicholas Morgan, Matthew Overman, Lacie Overman, Connor Overman & Chelsea Shannon; & 2 great grandchildren Brooks Wedman & Emma Grace Shannon.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Darrell D. Overman, 3 sons: Clayton Ray, Steven Wayne, & David Duane; her parents & 1 brother Howard Barraclough.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at St Paul’s United Methodist Church with Pastor Francis Bartley officiating and Pastor Robert Montgomery assisting. Interment will be held 1 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2020 in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 31,2020 at Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City.
