Barbara Gamble

Barbara Gamble, 75, beloved mother and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on November 1, 2023 in Alva, Oklahoma.  She entered this world on April 10, 1948 in Chester, Pennsylvania, born to John and Jean (Grucela) Fitz.

She attended Notre Dame High School in Moylan, Pennsylvania and graduated with the class of 1966.  Later, she met and married Donald Gamble in Aston, Pennsylvania on July 30, 1977 and they made their home in Claymont, Delaware until 1994, when they moved to Tonkawa, Oklahoma.  Barbara and Donald were married for 38 years until Donald's passing in 2014. She was employed with the Scott Paper Company for over 24 years. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed dancing, roller skating, but enjoyed spending time with her family most of all.

Those left behind to cherish Barbara's memory are her daughters Kimberly and husband Jeremy Bowling of Alva, and Carol and husband Anthony Tracey of Newark, Delaware; bonus children Donald and wife Cathy of Scottsdale, AZ, and Donna and husband Chris Heitmann of Wilmington, DE; her grandchildren: Ki Bowling, Keyli Bowling, Madison Gamble, Lisa and husband Eddie Ingudo, and Anthony Tracey Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and her parents.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 6th, 2 p.m., at Newkirk City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, Oklahoma. Online condolences may be made at www.gracememorialchapel.net
