Ann Lee Brown, resident of rural Ponca City, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at her home. She was 77.

Ann was born September 26, 1933 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was a graduate of Blackwell High School. She married Jerry Brown on July 11, 1986 in Miami, Oklahoma. Ann was an active member of the Ponca City Women of the Moose Lodge.

Anns enjoyments included the outdoors, flowers, music, dancing, all her children, grandchildren and her many friends.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry, of the home four children, Janette Walton and husband, Bill, of Newkirk, Kathy Lockhart and husband, Rick, of Ponca City, Denise Claybaker and husband, Alan, of Tulsa and David Meyers and fiance, Jody Beard, of Ponca City three stepchildren, Joy Redford and husband, Ken, Ponca City, Jerry Brown Jr., of Pawhuska and Jake Buster Brown, of Blackwell three brothers, Jim Davis, Larry Davis and Steve Hill one sister, Mary Dixon 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Susan and Delores.

A noon meal will be provided for family and friends at the Moose Lodge, 500 West Prospect, Ponca City, on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor David Bigger presiding. Interment will follow at Longwood Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Casket bearers will be Alan Claybaker, Bill Walton, Rick Lockhart, Jerry Brown Jr., Buster Brown and Ken Redford. Honorary casket bearers will be all of Anns friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anns name to the Ponca City Women of the Moose, 500 West Prospect, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
