Andrew Silas Lieb, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on January 21, 1940, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Henry and Josephine Lieb, Andrew lived a life full of love and adventure.
He was an avid reader and cherished his monthly Legion magazine and newspaper. Apart from reading, Andrew also enjoyed playing bingo and visiting casinos. Dancing was another passion of Andrew's. Though circumstances limited him later in life, he always held onto the memories of light-footed moves that expressed his lively spirit. However, among all the activities he enjoyed throughout his life, nothing brought Andrew more joy than spending time with his grandchildren. They were the apple of his eye and the source of endless happiness. Their laughter filled his heart with warmth and their presence gave him a sense of immense pride.
Andrew's memory will forever be treasured by his children: Hollis Irving Lieb, G A Lieb, Mary Alice Lieb, Alwood Harlan Lieb, Anndee Lieb, and Rose Lieb. In addition to his immediate family, Andrew leaves behind a lasting impact on his 5 grandsons and 8 granddaughters. He showered them with love, support, and wisdom throughout their lives, and the memories they shared will forever be cherished.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Rose, parents, oldest son Royce Deon Lieb, and siblings: Henry Arthur Lieb Jr., Curtis Lieb, Gilbert Lieb, Rose Marie Cuellar Albert Joe Lieb, Craig Irving Lieb
A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Andrew Silas Lieb. The service will take place on February 3, 2024, 2 p.m. at the Ponca Cultural Center in White Eagle, Oklahoma with Pastor Jim White officiating. Burial will follow at Ponca Tribal Cemetery. Andrew Silas Lieb touched the hearts of all who knew him. His kind spirit, gentle nature, and unwavering love for his family and friends were his defining traits.
