Andrew Andy Doughty, resident of Tonkawa and former resident of Ponca City, passed Monday, September 21, 2009 in Oklahoma City. He was 53 years of age. Andy was born November 2, 1955 in Ponca City, the son of Andrew H. Bud Doughty and Marietta Lois Holmes Doughty. He received his early education in the Ponca City Schools, later attending school in Houston, Texas. He was married to Elizabeth Lyons on July 11, 1976 in Houston. Andy was a mechanic by trade and also had worked as a security guard. His enjoyments included karaoke, fishing and cooking. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his mother, Marietta Doughty, Channelview, Texas; five children, Misty Dawn Davis and husband, Daniel, Round Rock, Texas, Annette DeAnne Wages and husband, Bill, Angleton, Texas, Brian Clinton Doughty and wife, Jennifer, of Tonkawa, Amanda Kay Doughty, Ponca City, and Corey Dean Doughty, of the home; one person that was like a son was Nick Bond of Tonkawa; four sisters, Joyce Willingham, Duncan, Oklahoma, Janet Butler, Channelview, Texas, Dolly Stanaland, Lufkin, Texas, and Sandra Flack, Channelview, Texas; 10 grandchildren; other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Charles Clinton Mickey Doughty. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Grace Memorial Chapel.
