Wayne King, 72 longtime Ponca City resident passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Ponca City, OK. Wayne was born on April 8, 1944 to Kenneth C. and Ruth A. Fanning King in Torrance, California.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Chris Short officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Employees of Freight Sharks of Ponca City. Arrangements are under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK.

Wayne came to Oklahoma with his family and he attended Oklahoma City and Ponca City schools. Wayne was employed by the City of Ponca City for numerous years and Sentinal in Conoco, making numerous friends along the way. Upon retiring from Sentinal Wayne couldn't sit still so he went to work driving trucks for Freight Sharks of Ponca City. Wayne was the happiest when he was driving his Truck. During his early years he enjoyed competing in Rodeos, Shooting Pool and going to Casinos.

Survivors include: two daughters; Renee and Cindy; 1 sister; Eva and husband Virgil Taylor, brothers; Kenneth Dale and wife Sandra King, Bill King and Jimmy and wife Bernita King all of Ponca City, OK. Wayne is also survived by Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Wayne is also survived by his special mate and friend Shirly Coffman and her 2 daughters; Melissa Richey and Deb Beard and sons.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and 1 niece; Amy King Young and 1 nephew; Jimmy Ted King.
